Pingo — Rules

Version: 2.0 (Free-to-Play) · Last updated: August 8, 2026

These Rules are incorporated by reference into the Pingo Terms of Service. If anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms control. Pingo is a free game — there is no cost to play and nothing of cash value to win. Players earn trophies and medals, which have no cash value.

Pingo is a free daily board game. You build a 4×4 board by picking how real-world athletes will perform ("Tiles") and arranging them on the board. Your skill in choosing tiles and arranging them determines how you finish.

1. Definitions

2. Eligibility

To play you must be at least 18 years old, be a resident of the United States, and hold a Pingo account in good standing. Pingo employees and their immediate family members, and anyone with access to non-public information about a board, may not compete for placement. Full eligibility rules are in the Terms of Service.

3. How a Board Works

3.1 Pick your tiles

Each board presents you with 15 Pairs in a fixed order. You choose one tile from each Pair, in order, with no look-ahead. Every player on the same board sees the same 15 Pairs in the same order. Each pick is final once made.

3.2 Build your board

After picking, you arrange your 15 tiles on the 15 open cells of the 4×4 board (the free space is pre-filled and always counts as complete). You may rearrange tiles freely until you submit. Once submitted, your board is final.

3.3 Resolution

As the real games play out, each tile is marked correct or incorrect based on official statistics from Pingo's third-party data providers. Live statistics shown during the games are unofficial and provided for convenience only.

3.4 Scoring

After the games are official, your board is scored:

Players are ranked by, in order: (1) number of Pingos completed, then (2) final score, then (3) number of correct tiles, then (4) earliest submission. You must complete at least one Pingo to place for a trophy — boards with zero Pingos are ranked and score points but do not earn a trophy tier. Pingo is the final authority on scoring, and its determinations are binding.

4. Submission and Lock

A board is not submitted until you confirm it in the Services. Boards are accepted from the time a board opens until the Lock Time — the scheduled start of the earliest game that day. Boards submitted after Lock Time are not accepted. You are responsible for submitting before Lock Time; connectivity or device problems on your end do not extend it.

5. Changes and Cancellation of a Board

Pingo may change, void, suspend, or cancel any board or result at its discretion — for example, due to a change in the day's games, an integrity concern, a data-feed failure, or a technical problem. Because the game is free, no payment is involved and none is owed on any such change.

6. Player Unavailability

6.1 Did Not Play (push)

If a player on one of your tiles does not participate in any real game that day, the tile is a push: it still fills its cell (like the free space) but earns 0 points and does not count toward your correct-tile total. A push can carry a line you've already earned, but it can't complete one on its own — a line needs at least one correct pick to score a Pingo (pushes and the free space fill in, but don't complete a line by themselves).

6.2 Partial participation

If a player takes part in any portion of a game, the tile resolves normally based on the official stat result. Tiles do not push because a player exits early due to injury, ejection, coach's decision, or any other reason — they resolve to the official stat line.

6.3 Postponed or cancelled games

If a game is postponed or cancelled and not made up before scoring, tiles tied to players whose only game that day was that game are treated as a push on the same terms as Section 6.1.

7. Scoring and Statistics

7.1 Official source

Tile outcomes are determined exclusively by official statistics received from Pingo's third-party data providers. Statistics shown elsewhere (broadcast graphics, league apps, news reports) are not authoritative for scoring.

7.2 Stat corrections

Once a board is scored, results are final, even if a league or stat provider later issues a correction. Pingo may, in its sole discretion, correct clear errors in data transmission or in its calculation during a reasonable window after scoring; outside that window, results stand.

7.3 Final authority

Pingo is the final authority on the scoring and outcome of all boards. Its determinations of tile resolution, Pingo count, and final score are binding on all players.

8. Trophies and Medals

Players who complete at least one Pingo place into a trophy tier based on where they finish among the day's qualifying players. Trophies and medals are status recognition only: they have no cash value and cannot be redeemed, exchanged, sold, or converted into anything of value, and they are non-transferable.

The exact cutoffs for each tier are published within the Services and may be adjusted. Trophies and medals may be recalculated or removed if awarded in error or in connection with a violation of these Rules or the Terms.

9. Which Games Are Offered

Pingo generates boards from each day's eligible games using its own projection models. Pingo determines, in its sole discretion, which sports and games are offered on any given day, the minimum number of real games required for a board to be offered, and which tiles are presented. If a sport does not have enough games on a given day, Pingo will not offer a board for it.

10. One Board Per Player

Unless a board's detail page expressly permits more, each player may submit one board per day's board. Attempts to circumvent this — for example, through multiple accounts, shared accounts, or proxy play — are a breach of these Rules and the Terms of Service and may result in voided results, removal of trophies and medals, and account termination.

11. Prohibited Conduct

In addition to the prohibited-conduct rules in the Terms of Service, the following are specifically prohibited:

12. Disputes About Results

If you believe a tile was scored incorrectly or a board was settled incorrectly, contact support@playpingo.com within seven (7) days of the board being scored. Disputes raised after that window are waived, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Pingo will review and respond within a reasonable time; its determination is final under Section 7.3. Unresolved disputes are subject to the dispute-resolution and arbitration provisions in the Terms of Service.

13. Changes to These Rules

Pingo may modify these Rules from time to time. The current version, with its version number and date, will always be available at this URL. Changes take effect when posted. By playing after a change takes effect, you accept the revised Rules.
